Star & Bee in the Gossamer Blue August 2014 Kits

It's been exciting to watch Gossamer Blue expand their kit and add-on offerings, and for the August 2014 kits their team of designers sent over some fabulous cork designs to be cut! Cork has a gorgeous natural texture and can be laser cut into shapes just like wood, but where I think it really shines is in the engraving. It etches with a much higher contrast than wood, and Gossamer Blue really showed that off in their Main Kit, Life Pages Kit, and Add-On designs for August!

Star & Bee for Elle's Studio - September 2014

Elle's Studio tried something just a bit different for their September release and included laser cut wood veneer embellishments along with some adorable die cuts and journaling cards in a Halloween-themed ephemera pack! Elle has repeated the idea in the November release (you can find the Christmas and Winter packs in her shop now), and we love seeing how our customers find innovative ways to incorporate custom cuts into their product line!

A cork circle mat and a set of laser cut cork shapes were also part of Elle's Studio's September release.

We're having a busy, busy fall and winter cutting season here at Star & Bee! So many lovely fall and Christmas themed designs have passed through our system in the past couple of months, and we'll have pictures of them just as soon as we can take a break to photograph them!

In the meantime, we still have lots of orders to catch up on from the summer, including these pieces designed by Citrus Twist Kits owner Trina Craig for their July 2014 kits.

Elle's Studio Fall/Winter 2014

Cork has been a very popular material since we debuted it as a laser-cut (and engraved!) option several months ago, and we were thrilled when Elle of Elle's Studio chose to include cork designs in her Fall 2014 wholesale release. (You may have noticed these designs in this month's kit from Scrapbook Circle, as well!) And if you love Elle's wood veneer designs, she has a lovely set of Christmas-themed items, as well.

Star and Bee for Bananafish Studio

As you've probably guessed by now, when it's quiet on the blog it usually means that we're busy here cutting orders! We've had so many lovely designs pass through our doors recently, including some for new clients that we're thrilled to have on board!

I'm going to kick off what's hopefully a more steady round of updates than usual with one of those new clients- Bananafish Studio! I've been a fan of France's designs for years, so it was a delight to be able to cut these wood and acrylic designs for her. Elle's Studio August 2014

Elle has been including such fun add-ons in her monthly kit releases this year! For August she asked Star & Bee to produce a set of back to school themed cork pieces that she designed, and you can find them here in her shop along with all of her other exclusive wood and cork designs.

Cork has been a very popular addition to our laser-cutting lineup, and I'll be blogging more designs that we've been cutting for customers soon!

Like the July edition, Jenni Bowlin's August papercrafting kit sold out in a flash! You can get a peek at everything that was included in the kit on Jenni's blog, including the art-deco frame that she sent over the designs for. The laser engraving on this wood frame is very Gatsby-esque, no?

Jenni Bowlin's papercrafting kits have been fast sellouts lately, including the July 2014 edition! Jenni sent over designs for these adorable wood veneer dominoes that Star & Bee produced as an exclusive item for them, and it's always a treat to work with such fun, vintage-inspired pieces.

It's been quiet here on the Star & Bee blog for a little while, but we've been oh-so-busy behind the scenes with orders! We're crazy excited about some of the things we've been laser cutting for our customers lately, and I finally took the time last night to photograph a big batch of them to share here.

I'll start off with a release from July that sold out within a day or so of posting! Cocoa Daisy sent over a Viewmaster design for their July Main and Day in the Life kits, and, while both of the kits are sold out, you can still pick up just the wood veneers here in their shop.
